The Manchester office of Benoit Properties International has raised over £2,300 in a month through an innovative scheme to help tackle the city’s homelessness crisis.

The company launched its ‘Roof for a Roof’ scheme to support youth homelessness charity Centrepoint’s work in Manchester.

Benoit Properties is now reviewing the scheme with Centrepoint and considering other partnership arrangements with the charity in the future. Benoit Properties staff also took part in the #SleepOutMCR event in October to raise additional funds for Centrepoint, which supports over 2,000 vulnerable 16-25 year olds in Manchester annually.

Matt Walsh, Marketing Manager of Benoit Properties, said: “Benoit are strongly committed to supporting social causes and, working in the city, we see the problem of homelessness at first hand. We came up with Roof for a Roof as a way to provide practical help and, following our success during October, we are now looking at similar initiatives in the future.”

Centrepoint’s Regional Fundraising Manager Ben Bowden, who is based in Manchester, said: “Support from companies like Benoit Properties is vital for us to be able to continue our work supporting the city’s most vulnerable young people. We are extremely grateful for their support and applaud their desire to address the complex issues that cause youth homelessness.`’
