The most famous one is held at Vörösmarty Square, in the city’s heart. Hundreds of vendors set up stalls to sell unique handmade crafts, gifts, and traditional Hungarian Christmas food and drink. You can taste local specialities such as chimney cake (kürtőskalács), mulled wine, and goulash.

A huge Christmas tree and beautiful light decorations give the market a magical atmosphere.
