At the heart of the Sunshine State, Orlando offers experiences like nowhere else, and this will be true for many years to come. With new attractions already opening and many more underway, travelling to Central Florida has never been more attractive.

From new restaurants, hotels, entertainment and attractions, there’s something for everyone in this vibrant part of the state. Let’s take a look at what’s on offer in Orlando this year.

New Attractions

New attractions at Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando Resort will draw in lots of visitors this year. Some of the main attractions to look forward to are:

Journey of Water: Inspired by Moana, this is a self-guided outdoor trail where visitors can play and interact with water as it travels from the sky to the oceans. This is scheduled to open at EPCOT within The World Nature Neighborhood, which is dedicated to understanding and preserving the beauty and balance of the natural world.

Pirate River Quest: Legoland’s latest attraction has already opened for passengers to enjoy Lego characters as they sail amid natural beauty.

Seaworld’s New ‘Surf-Coaster’: Pipeline, the first-of-its-kind surf coaster, offers visitors the rush of launching 110 feet to feel like they are really riding the waves.

Elsewhere, by springtime, the TRON Lightcycle will open at Magic Kingdom. The Magic Kingdom Park will also see the return of the “Happily Ever After” firework show. At Universal Orlando, the “Great Movie Escape” escape room experience. There is also the arrival of the new Minion Land at Universal Studios Florida.

Entertainment

Orlando already has hundreds of options when it comes to dining, but this year will welcome even more choice. New restaurants include The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers at Disney’s BoardWalk, Brew Theory Marketplace, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin, Rosa Mexicano, KAVAS Tacos + Tequila, JoJo’s ShakeBAR and Dizzy Donuts.

Hotels

There are lots of new hotels and many undergoing renovations that will be ready in 2023. These include Drury Plaza Hotel Orlando—Disney Springs Area; Conrad Orlando Cambria Hotel Orlando Universal Blvd; Aloft Lake Nona; Bohemian Hotel Orlando. The JW Marriott Orlando and The Alfond Inn at Rollins have both completed multi-million dollar renovations.

Transport

The main transport hubs have also had some attention given to them. With the arrival of the new Brightline Orlando Station at Orlando International Airport’s Terminal C. This will connect domestic and international visitors travelling between Orlando and Miami.
